After OCBC China receive the collection documents sent from the Remitting Bank, we are entrusted by the Remitting Bank, and according to their instructions, to collect import payments and deliver relevant commercial documents to the importer. Under D/P terms, import documents are released to the importer against payment. Under D/A terms, documents are released to the importer against acceptance. The collection method has low cost and simple procedures, which provides convenience for importers to save costs and reduce capital occupation.

Overseas Payment Arrangement
  • The importer applies to OCBC China for trade financing business under cross-border transactions using import collection as the settlement method

  • OCBC China entrusts overseas correspondent bank or affiliated banks to pay to the overseas exporter of D/P by using a cheaper overseas funding

Under the cross-border trade transaction, the importer applies to OCBC China for a short-term trade financing under import collection (documents against payment) (hereinafter called "D/P") as the settlement method. OCBC China provide a funding arrangement to the domestic importer, that is, we entrust our overseas correspondent bank or affiliated banks to pay to the overseas exporter of D/P by using a cheaper overseas funding. Depending on the time duration till the importer returns the funds, this arrangement can reduce financing costs, reduce capital occupation and provide the optimal overseas payment scheme to domestic importer.

D/A Avalisation
  • In international trade settled by import collection (document against acceptance) (hereinafter referred to as "D/A business")

  • Upon the importer's application, our bank entrusts to guarantee the importer's credit standing and solvency

  •  OCBC China endorse the words "Per Aval" and the bank’s name onto the accepted draft, which represent an irrevocable obligation of our bank as a guarantor

To enhance the creditability of the importer for international trade to be settled by import collection (documents against acceptance) (hereinafter called “D/A”), at the request of the importer, OCBC China endorse the words "Per Aval" and the bank’s name onto the accepted draft, which represent an irrevocable obligation of our bank as a guarantor. It facilitates the importer’s D/A settlement. Under export collection (D/A), when OCBC China act as the Remitting Bank, at the request of the exporter, we provide the export bill discount to the exporter based on the accepted draft with the words "Per Aval". It facilitates the exporter’s discounting under export collection.

Export Collection
  • The exporter submits export financial and commercial documents for payment from foreign customers to OCBC China

  • Entrust OCBC China to send to the bank at the importing place

Trust Receipt Loan
  • The importer transfers the title of goods to OCBC China

  • OCBC China advances the import letter of credit payment on behalf of the importer based on valid commercial documents

It is a short-term financial product provided to the importer. After the importer transfers the title of goods to OCBC China upon the execution of the Indemnity and Trust Receipt, we will pay to the exporter of documentary collection in advance based on valid commercial documents.
